Our Story
My name is Jenn Cooper - farmer, wife, and mom of 3! My love of gardening began when we bought our home in 2015 and unexpectedly found treasures in our garden season after season - Spirea bushes, Old English roses, irises! They kept drawing me back to the garden.
In 2020 Cielo Hills Flowers was born- we made cut flower garden beds by taking over our driveway (because there’s never enough space) and joined an incredible floral community. In 2024, my husband and I moved his business and Cielo Hills to the family farm. His company produces and sells tissue culture (where all our cool new stuff comes from) and we grow the trials, as well as all the other tried and true flowers we love. One of my favorite parts of gardening is letting flowers cross pollinate, saving all the seeds, and seeing what will pop up next.
Our florists and our coffees have kept us going! So thankful for our community that is choosing local flowers, we couldn’t do it without you.
We currently sell our organically grown, freshly cut specialty flowers directly to florists and floral shops in San Diego.
The original farm owner introduced the first Proteas to the United States and bred new varieties of Camelias that are still well loved today. We hope to build on this history by introducing new plants and flowers to the cut-flower world! Our fields are full - trialing Butterfly Ranunculus, Japanese Anemones, Hellebores, Echinacea and more from tissue culture.
